Notifications

DropFast tells you about important product events — new releases first — on two surfaces: an in-app inbox in your dashboard and email.

The in-app inbox

A Notifications entry lives in the dashboard left nav with a bell and an unread badge. The badge counts announcements published since you signed up that you haven't read yet.

Open /dashboard/notifications to see them. Each item shows what kind it is (a release, an announcement), a title, a short body, and a link to the details (for releases, the release notes). You can:

  • Read — opening the inbox clears the badge.
  • Dismiss an individual item to remove it from the list.
  • Mark all read from the header.

The inbox is silent and passive — it never interrupts you, so there's nothing to mute. It also never shows you announcements from before your account existed, so a brand-new account starts with an empty inbox.

Email

When a release ships, DropFast also emails you — a short, on-brand summary with a link to the full release notes. Email goes only to verified email addresses on your account.

Turn announcement emails on or off

Manage email from Notification preferences (also linked in the footer of every announcement email):

  • Product announcements — new releases and important product news. On by default; a few emails a month at most.
  • Comment activity digests — a periodic summary when your sites get new comments. You can set this preference now; digests aren't being sent yet.

Every announcement email also carries a one-click Unsubscribe link (and the standard List-Unsubscribe header your mail client understands), so you can opt out straight from your inbox. Unsubscribing from email never affects the in-app inbox.

Turning email off is immediate — the next send checks your preference, so you won't get a stray email after you've opted out.

What DropFast will never email you

DropFast product email is only for the events above. It is not a marketing platform — there are no drip campaigns, no tracking pixels, and no selling your address. Sign-in codes and account emails come from our auth provider, not this system.
